Portable & Personable: Your Virtual Classroom

The online portion of your education represents a unique interactive experience. This is not independent or self-study, nor a solitary effort. Similar to a traditional class, you will work with a group of students guided by a faculty member. There are assignments, tests, projects and discussions. But because it’s online, you enjoy “anytime, anywhere” convenience within an assigned time frame. There is personalized attention at every step, with advisement and virtual faculty office hours.

Requirements & Advisement

Each program has specific prerequisites. OU makes it easy to transfer credits and complete necessary requirements. And with academic counselors and experienced advisors, you have support throughout the admission process — and your nursing education experience.

As a distance-learning student, you will have computer requirements and need high-speed Internet connection. There are computer packages, discounts and financial assistance programs available.

Advisement

Students are encouraged to seek advisement regarding prerequisite courses and other admissions requirements. Students may speak with an advisor for more information at 1.888.MY.OUBSN (1.888.696.8276).

ACADEMIC ADVISORS MAY ASSIST POTENTIAL STUDENTS IN:
1 Evaluating transcripts
2 Developing a plan to complete prerequisite courses
3 Identifying sources of financial aid

Financing Possibilities: Financial Aid

This program represents one of the best values available for a fully accredited nursing education. To assist students further, there are financial assistance programs and special scholarships available.
