SHARP HEALTHCARE WINS BALDRIGE AWARD!

San Diego, Calif. (February 19, 2008) – The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program has been associated with Sharp HealthCare since 2005, and has continually been impressed with the consistent commitment to quality and innovation from the team in San Diego. Most recently, Sharp received the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award.

The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program, right within the Sharp system, is a prime example of quality in action. Sharp recognized a need for a BSN programs in San Diego and worked with the university to bring in the accelerated BSN. There are many excellent California nursing schools, and Sharp remains committed to all of them. The OU program is incremental to what Sharp has always done in the San Diego area.

Graduates of the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing Program in San Diego receive an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and will be eligible to work as nurses in San Diego at hospitals such as Sharp HealthCare. The nursing program demonstrates the same commitment to quality that Sharp HealthCare demonstrated in winning the Baldrige Award.
