The University of Oklahoma began in 1892 and The
OU College of Nursing was founded in 1911. The nursing college has
grown steadily in students and programs and is now known
for academic excellence, highly successful distance learning
programs and for participating in healthcare and nursing
issues on a global basis. Nearly all students admitted
to an OU nursing program complete their studies and graduate,
while a high percentage of the graduates achieve licensure.
